Unfortunately, dental insurance is not designed to pay for all the costs of high quality dental treatment. Dental insurance is not truly “insurance” and cannot be compared to medical insurance. This benefit works like a “coupon” that may reduce certain costs of care. However, no dental benefit plan is meant to cover all of your costs. Many procedures are not normally covered by insurance but are still worth the investment when you consider your systemic and mental health; including the confidence and higher self esteem that comes when you are proud of your smile. Payment for Services Our office accepts all major credit cards, cash, and personal check for dental care. Financing options are available. Payment is expected at the time of service. Dental Insurance For patients with dental insurance, our office provides expert dental claims assistance. For no additional fee, we will expertly prepare and submit all claims. For some insurance companies, reimbursement is sent directly from the insurance company to the insured party. Please remember, your dental coverage is a contract between you and your selected insurance company. It is your responsibility to understand your coverage. We prefer misunderstandings not occur. Even for those that are not “In-Network,” please remember that most insurances will still provide out of network coverage. As a result, we continue to observe safety standards and recommended guidelines set by The American Dental Association, CDC, and local and state health departments. As this is a healthcare facility, we ask all patient’s to wear masks when not in the dental chair. If you are experiencing any illness, or have been in contact with someone who has, we will be happy to assist in rescheduling your appointment. We do not accept walk-in patients. Please call ahead so we may plan for your visit. All patient’s are asked to rinse their mouths with an anti-microbial mouth rinse prior to dental procedures. Private exam rooms to limit patient exposures and aerosols. We use disposable PPE including high level rated face masks, gowns, faceshields, and gloves. As a native Chicagoan, she earned both her bachelors and master’s in public health from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She completed her doctorate in dental medicine from Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois where she trained in all aspects of general dentistry. Dr. Allie has emergency and dental trauma experience from working at the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic during the COVID-19 pandemic where she treated countless patients undergoing radiation therapy, transplant surgery, cardiac surgery, and emergencies in the ER. When not in the office, Dr. Allie works at Cleveland Children’s Surgery Center treating pediatric and special needs patients in the OR under general anesthesia performing everything from cleanings to full mouth rehabilitation. She has authored and contributed to several research papers, articles, presentations, and guidelines in conjunction with the American Dental Association for which she won several research awards. Dr. Allie was also the Midwestern University’s College of Dental Medicine winner and national representative for an article she wrote on pediatric dental care and the importance of baby teeth in the annual American Dental Association’s Health Literacy Contest. Due to her public health background, Dr. Allie is passionate about working with the underserved having done so both domestically and abroad. She has participated in several mission trips to Honduras and Samoa in the South Pacific, where she both assisted and provided oral health care to remote patient populations. A lifelong learner, Dr. Allie is committed to continuing post-doctorate education, and is actively working toward her Fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry. Committed to organized dentistry, she has served as an Alternate Delegate for the Greater Cleveland Dental Society on the ODA House of Delegates. She is also an active member of The American Dental Association, The Ohio Dental Association, The Greater Cleveland Dental Society, and The Academy of Sports Dentistry.
